The chains are broken

The chains are broken.

July 1st, a significant day that warrants remembrance, contemplation, and a call for forgiveness. “Keti Koti,” meaning “the chains are broken,” marks the official end of slavery as symbolized by one of the monuments in the Netherlands. Recognizing history’s importance is crucial for all members of our society, ensuring that past will not be repeated and paving the way for a more inclusive and equal future.

Love serves as our guiding principle, honoring the struggles endured by our ancestors in their pursuit of a better tomorrow. The capacity for love and compassion is humanity’s greatest strength. May everyone experience a peaceful day full of positive energy, as we celebrate this monumental occasion where the journey to freedom began. ❤️
